Who we are
hiwave is a small, independent internet provider based in Redcliffe, on the Moreton Bay peninsula in Queensland. We sell one thing: NBN® internet. That's it. No bundles, no phone lines you didn't ask for, no TV packages.
Our team is local. When you call us, you're not speaking to someone in a call centre on the other side of the world — you're speaking to someone who probably knows the same streets you do.
We're small enough to actually care about each customer, and structured deliberately to stay that way.

Networks have outages. nbn® has issues. When something breaks, we'll tell you what we know, what we're doing about it, and how long we think it'll take. No corporate non-speak.

We're not trying to become the next Optus. Being small lets us care about the people we serve. We'd rather be the best telco for a few thousand people than an average telco for millions.
Why we exist
The Australian telecommunications industry has a reputation problem, and honestly, it's earned. Customers get locked into contracts, promised speeds they'll never see, and then spend hours on hold when something goes wrong — only to be passed between departments until they give up.
hiwave started from a simple frustration: why is this so hard? The technology is there. The infrastructure is there. The only thing missing was a provider that actually wanted to deliver a good experience.
So we built one. We're not doing anything revolutionary — we're just doing the basics properly, treating people with respect, and charging a fair price. It turns out that's enough to stand out.
